Engagement method

A repeatable path for mobile backend advisory — built for store release constraints, not slideware.

The method below underpins the flagship Mobile Backend Assessment and adapts for contract, sync, and auth engagements.

  1. Access and release framing

We agree on read-only API and client access, list recent mobile releases, and name the product surface in scope. No production changes happen in this phase.

  2. Client–API path sampling

Request shapes, auth flows, and sync edges are sampled against real journeys. Payload hotspots and silent failure modes are recorded with evidence links.

  3. Contract and ownership review

Endpoints without owners or deprecation calendars are flagged. Versioning gaps between iOS and Android clients are scored by user impact.

  4. Severity-ranked findings

Issues are scored by store-release risk and remediation effort. The backlog is ordered so your team can fund work without boiling the ocean.

  5. Readout workshop

Leads walk through findings live. Decisions are captured as owners and target dates, then the engagement closes with written artifacts only.
